Project Goal: Improve the health of infants and mothers by providing leadership training and support for healthy breastfeeding practices
Project Summary:The Resource Center for Development Alternatives, a Pakistan NGO, La Leche League International, and HH have entered into a partnership to train women in rural Pakistan to facilitate mother-to-mother support activities to promote healthy breastfeeding habits. Breastfeeding has been shown to reduce infant morbidity and mortality and can improve the health of women through increased child spacing. Additionally, women receive training in positive leadership styles to promote their role in and contribution to their community.
