Health For Humanity Projects
Health For Humanity works through partnerships with organizations to improve the health and well-being of their local communities. Projects focus on training, development of capacity at the local level, systematic incorporation of ethical principles, and support for local leadership to ensure sustainability. Currently there are 5 international and 3 domestic projects.

Current Health for Humanity International Projects
CHINA
China Blindness Prevention Project initiated in 2007, Tianjin, China
Project Goal: to reduce the prevalence of blindness from cataracts in China, especially in rural areas.
China Pediatric Rehabilitation Project initiated in 1999, Chengdu, China
Project Goal: Improve the quality of life for children with disabilities by raising the local capacity for pediatric rehabilitation services.
China Continued Medical Training initiated in 1999, Yueyang, China
Project Goal: Improve the quality of health care by supporting the Chinese government’s commitment to continuing education through lectures and clinical training experiences.
MONGOLIA
Mongolia Blindness Prevention Project initiated in 2002, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Project Goal: Eliminate avoidable blindness by developing capacity for modern cataract surgery and vitreo-retinal surgery at two tertiary health care centers in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, as part of Mongolia’s National Blindness Prevention Plan.
Mongolia Continued Medical Training initiated in 2007, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Project Goal: Support the Mongolian government's commitment to medical education through lectures and clinical training experiences.
Current Health for Humanity Domestic Projects
Ohio Wellness Club initiated in 1997, Youngstown, Ohio
Overall Goal: Improve the quality of life and health of seniors by providing health education seminars.
Portland Smoking Prevention initiated in 2006, Portland, Oregon
Overall Goal: To educate greater Portland area children as to the hazards of tobacco use.
Community Health Promotion Activities initiated in 2007, across the US
Overall Goal: Health awareness activities which promote awareness and education in easy and enjoyable ways;
Health education activities with teaching and learning as the main focus; and
Health outreach drives or fairs that promote healthy behaviors.
