Health for Humanity needs your help to ensure that we have the means to continue our work. We depend on our individual supporters as we endeavor to provide health development assistance to communities in need. Individual cash contributions cover over 72% of our operating costs.
Donations to Health for Humanity help provide advanced technical training for healthcare workers, leadership and organizational consultations to support our partners’ institutional development, and assistance with resource development to obtain medical equipment and supplies.

Giving in Honor or in Memory of Friends or Family
Any donation you make can be in honor or memory of someone you care about. This can be a way to honor a friend or family member who has modeled loving service or embodied some of the principles of Health for Humanity in their lives. This is also a great way to celebrate weddings and other special events – in lieu of presents, guests can make donations to Health for Humanity in your honor. Simply indicate who you wish to honor on your donation form or let us know over the phone. These honorary and memorial donations can also be made when contributions are made through our website. Whenever you give in honor or in memory of someone, we will send your designee a letter in acknowledgment of your gift.
Join a Matching Gifts Program
Many businesses and organizations have programs in place to match the charitable gifts made by their employees. Consult the Human Resources Department where you work to find out if your employer has a Matching Gift program. Some employers will double or triple the amount of an employee contribution, resulting in an even more significant gift. Often, employers will also match contributions of retirees and board members, in addition to matching those contributions from current employees. Some employers may also make a cash contribution to Health for Humanity based on volunteer service completed by employees. Our office will be happy to work with you to complete any documentation requirements needed to qualify for matching gifts or volunteer support from your business.
Donate through the Combined Federal Campaign
If you are a federal, state, or municipal employee, you may be able to donate to Health for Humanity through the Do Unto Others employee charitable giving campaign (CFC:DUO), an IRS-recognized tax-exempt federated group representing charitable organizations. Health for Humanity is pleased to be a registered charity with the CFC:DUO campaign. For federal employees, Health for Humanity’s ID number is 10034, although other campaigns will have different numbers assigned to Health for Humanity, so be sure to double check the organization name and number when submitting your donation.
Making a Planned Gift
A gift made to Health for Humanity through an estate plan is a lasting commitment to our work and an investment in global health. Supporters who give to Health for Humanity through their estate plan, by means of a will, living trust, or beneficiary designation on a life insurance policy or retirement plan become members of Health for Humanity’s Legacy Society and receive special recognition as well as various benefits such as invitations to special events.

Health for Humanity is certified with the
Independent Charities of America Seal of Excellence
The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, one of the most exclusive fundraising initiatives in the world. Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5 percent, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal.
