How to Help

“When I reflect upon the accomplishments of Health for Humanity, I am most grateful to have had the opportunity, along with many others, to offer service to mankind through the work of this organization.”
— Board Chairman Steve Jackson
Health for Humanity is dependent on the generous sharing of resources by our supporters to sustain our programs and achieve our mission to “inspire and mobilize local communities and global resources to improve health.” All technical training provided by Health for Humanity to local partner health professionals is offered as a volunteer service by Health for Humanity Members who donate their time, knowledge, and personal resources in order to travel to a project site and teach their local colleagues. The necessary equipment needed for advanced medical training is often donated by individuals and businesses that are committed to raising the standard of health services of communities around the world. And the funds needed to provide for a professional staff to organize, maintain, and evaluate Health for Humanity’s activities come entirely from personal donations and grants by people and institutions like you.
In the Bahá’í writings, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá wrote that the honor and distinction of the individual consist in this, that he … should become a source of social good… that an individual, looking within himself, should find that by the confirming grace of God he has become the cause of peace and well-being, of happiness and advantage to his fellow men. At Health for Humanity we believe that this goal of the social good is best achieved when we help and support one another as equals and partners, whether we are physicians, engineers, or retirees. This model of service, one that empowers and strengthens those we serve with, has been the foundation of this organization from the beginning.
We invite you to share in the service and inspiration that make Health for Humanity’s mission possible, through volunteering in a project and giving your financial resources today.
